Sport Poomsae

What is Sport Poomsae?
Sport Poomsae is the World Taekwondo compulsory poomsae used at sanctioned national and international competitions such as USAT Nationals and the World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships.

These forms are done the same way in any country with schools that practice forms unter World Taekwondo. They have specific guidelines and rules that are followed by every student/competitor. Many times, schools will have their own spin on a technique that would cause some differences in style at competitions. This gives a nice unified way of performing and scoring poomsae.

What is awesome about Sport Poomsae is that any age can participate. For instance, if you are 50 years old or older and love the forms part of Taekwondo and you are past being able to spar, Sport Poomsae is still a great way to compete!
